The Nissan Kicks was named to have one of the best interiors, according to WardsAuto.

WardsAuto recently evaluated 32 vehicles that had been updated with either new or significantly redesigned interiors. The Kicks stood out for a litany of reasons.

The panel of WardsAuto editors acknowledged that the Kicks had high quality stitching and soft surfaces on the instrument panel that are "befitting a more expensive vehicle." In addition, they found that its available Intelligent Around View® Monitor, was "handy in tight spots and which used to be available only in INFINITI luxury cars." They also noted that the interior features available Bose® Personal Plus Audio System that includes driver's headrest-mounted speakers.

In addition, the Kicks interior provides ample passenger space throughout the cabin. It also includes best-in-class front seat legroom, as well as offering plenty of cargo space when the rear seats are folded down.

The instrument panel design of the Kicks features a modern and simple design that is dominated by a centrally mounted 7.0-inch color display and houses a comprehensive infotainment system with connectivity available for Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ smartphones.

Strong points for the Nissan Kids are Safety, security, as well as driver convenience features. Automatic Emergency Braking is standard on all grade levels, along with seven air bags and RearView Monitor. Kicks SV and Kicks SR add Blind Spot Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.

The Kicks is offered in three different models: Kicks S, Kicks SV and Kicks SR. Each one is equipped with a standard 1.6-liter DOHC 16-valve 4-cylinder with Continuous Variable Valve Timing Control System. The engine is rated at 122 horsepower and 114 lb-ft of torque. Combined with a smooth, fuel-efficient Xtronic transmission, fuel economy is rated at 33 mpg combined.
